Agni Katzouraki (1936)

Biography

She was born in Athens in 1936. She studied painting at the Slade School of Fine Arts of the University of London between 1953 and 1956. From 1962 she collaborated as Art Director with Michalis Katzourakis and Freddy Karabott at the “Athens Advertising Center K&K,” producing a large number of posters, tourist publications for various locations and archaeological sites, theatre programs, books and book covers, logos, and advertising layouts.

For three consecutive years she was awarded the Rizzoli Prize (Milan): in 1964 for the black-and-white Mobil Oil advertisement, in 1965 for the EL AL advertisement, and in 1966 for a color advertisement for the brand “Katrantzos Women’s Fashion.” She has also received many other distinctions.

From 1978 she participated in the firm “AMK Architects & Decorators,” founded by Michalis Katzourakis in 1974. Since then, Agni Katzouraki has specialized in interior design.

From 2013 until today she has been engaged in visual arts, attending, together with Danae Stamatiou and Lena Koutsi, the workshop of Katerina Zacharopoulou.
