Description
In some interior space, Angelos Theodoropoulos captures a still life that includes two medium-sized, spiral-lined shells on the first level. The lower side of the shell on the left (as seen by the viewer) can be seen, judging by the rendering of the mouth, as well as part of its interior. In a second, a jug with a handle can be seen, as well as the shadow of a part of this object on the back surface. This is a favorite subject of the artist. A typical example is the fact that a private collection preserves the specific shells that are depicted in his works with a corresponding theme.
