Description
couple is depicted on a tile background. The male figure in the type that the painter is used to (”little people”) eagerly embraces the female figure, pulling her hand. The female figure is dressed as an ancient Greek woman with a tunic, veil and hair band. The figures are rendered in black and white and are pressed against a black tape that indicates the floor. The work gives the impression of black-figure angiography. Symbols of history-contemporary conversation are intense.
