Description
Angelos Theodoropoulos captures with a simple design and outline a naked female figure, seated on a cloth with strong pleats laid on a flat surface, her torso turned in profile, while her legs are shown facing forward. two of her hands are also profiled and rest on the flat surface, between her arms we can see her breasts, the viewer can see the features of the left (according to him) side of her face, while her lips are caught at the back of the skull and a curly tuft of hair falls over her forehead and eyes. Her left leg is standing, bent at chest height, while the right is rendered sideways. The sole of the left foot is placed under the calf of the right leg. Both the absence of shadows and the linear rendering of the form remind us of the corresponding nudes of Matisse.
