Description
Angelos Theodoropoulos carves the portrait of his wife Olga (née Kyriazidis) in a bust with whom they probably met that year and married on June 28, 1941. The torso is given to the side, while the head, with the characteristic light-colored headband with its strong folds, it is directed towards the viewer with whom it makes eye contact. Regarding the style of the engraving, we find a realistic approach to the rendering of the face, while there is no shortage of cubist references to the headband, where the intense photo shading is also captured.
