Description
Angelos Theodoropoulos captures with a simple design and outline a seated and at the same time naked female figure in profile. Her left leg (in the figure) is rendered sideways, the right standing, while both are bent. The viewer sees only her right hand, which parallels the lines of the corresponding leg, which ends in a fabric with strong pleats. Both the absence of shadows and the linear rendering of the form remind us of the corresponding nudes of Matisse.
