Description
Angelos Theodoropoulos composes a still life with a strong element of movement. In the upper left (as viewed by the viewer) part, she places sideways a semicircular container filled with fruit, most likely apples, some of which, three in number, have rolled, come out and fallen onto the flat surface where this container is placed . This “fall” leads the viewer’s eye to the jug, which is located behind the three fallen apples. On the outer part of the jug’s rim, in which its handle can also be seen, the intense decorative dark-colored decorative element can be found. The container is placed on a light-colored cloth with strong folds, while the striking thing about this particular composition is the performance of the light, the direction of which is from right to left.
