Description
In the first plane two fishing boats are shown drawn up on the sand. On the left, parts of two other boats can be seen, while one more with a high sail is depicted in the sea behind. In the center of the composition, on the right boat in the first level, a fisherman can be seen working the nets. To the right a peninsula juts diagonally into the sea and bears a building that looks like a small tower. A light source from the right creates strong shadows on the boats.
