Description

Family at the table in the interior of a country house. On the back it bears a printed text by Théofile Gautier).In the interior (kitchen) family seated around the table. Two male and two female figures are depicted. One woman turns her back to the viewer. The other is holding a child. In the background, hearth and kitchen utensils. The table is covered with a tablecloth, while there are glasses and plates on it. On the left is a window with a view to the outside.
