Description
On a two-tone background (black for the first level, indigo blue for the second) an ancient temple is depicted in diagonal perspective. A narrow and a long side are thus assigned. Five little people, typical of the artist, replace the colonnade of the long side, one plays the role of the corner column and one more replaces the column of the narrow side. Above it is a portico and a half-damaged roof. The temple with the little people – columns develops on the right side occupying, due to the diagonal arrangement, the largest part of the painting. On the left side, on a free pedestal – platform, three more little people are seated in line one behind the other (in the form of a free colonnade). The middle one is missing the head.
