Description

It is depicted on a circular surface-piece of land a group of women in a solid semi-circular arrangement. They are dressed in black, in an attitude of supplication, all with covered heads. Similar facial features. The last one, lower right, has a swaddled baby on her knees. The background is composed of the waves of the sea and complemented at the upper right by a sailing ship with open sails.
