Description
It is attributed to a hill that refers to the Acropolis of Athens. On a blue-indigo background, the composition develops on two levels: on the first, numerous little people with their backs turned towards the viewer motionless “watch” an ancient Greek temple with a damaged pediment on a second level, in which the columns are replaced by the characteristic little people, established on its platform temple. The building is depicted diagonally so that the perspective shows one narrow and one long side. Forms and building are modeled in black and white.
