Photograph, b/w, photographic paper, depicting a work created by Panagiotis Doxaras for the ‘Ourania’ (painted ceiling) of the Holy Church of Saint Spyridon in Corfu. The artwork was detached in 1852 (on the occasion of the new ‘Ourania’ of the church created by Nikolaos Aspiotis, who copied P. Doxaras’ work) and was deposited at the Holy Monastery of the Most Holy Theotokos Kassopitra in Corfu, where it was located by Tony Spiteris. The reverse side of the photograph bears inscriptions.”
